To save data on this web browsing, use a web browser that includes a built-in compressing proxy feature. The web browser will route the data through other servers where it’s compressed before being sent to you.

Google offers an official Data Saver extension for Google Chrome, and it functions the same as the Data Saver feature built into the Chrome browser on Android and iPhone. Install that into Google, and you’re good to go. The Opera browser also has a “Turbo mode“, which works similarly.

    Download Data Server Extension HERE

    Download Opera Turbo Mode HERE

    12. Disable Automatic Peer-to-Peer Update Sharing:

By default, Windows 10 automatically uses your Internet connection to upload Windows and app updates to other Windows 10 PCs. Windows 10 won’t upload updates if you set a connection as metered, but you can also turn it off directly.

To prevent the automatic uploads on all networks, you’ll need to open the Settings app, go to Update & Security > Windows Update and click “Advanced Options.” Click “Choose How Updates are Delivered” and set this option to just “PCs on My Local Network” or disable it.

    13.Disable Bandwidth Sharing !

Windows 10 have come up with an improvement in its Windows Update option that allows it to sync updates from a local network PC in a P2P (peer-to-peer) style named “Windows Update Delivery Optimization” or WUDO.

WUDO is ideal for situations if your OS is set up with “Metered” connection but have more than one computer using the Windows 10 operating system. However, if the computers in the local network are of the same built, you can make use of only computer to update the other.

    •  In order to deactivate this configuration click open “Settings” option from clicking on the windows start key and then settings.
    • Then select “Update and Security”.
    • Go to “Windows Update”.
    • Finally select “Choose how updates are delivered”.
    • Once you reach this option slide it to “OFF” and there you go!

WUDO is a dicey feature offered by Windows 10 since in its Home and Pro versions the WUDO is set in such a way that it transports Windows Update info to other computers via the internet, but only to computers in the local network in Education and Enterprise versions. So in situations where you are bound in a limited modem speed it is a better idea to stay away from sharing updates online with other computers.

    14. CHECK NETWORK USAGE IN WINDOWS 10 VIA NETWORK SETTING SECTION

If after undergoing all this procedure and you still find out that your PC is still using much data, then follow the procedure carefully and see the app that is using much data on your PC

    • Just Navigate to Settings on your PC
    • Next to Network & Internet
    • Select “Data usage”
    • Then click on "Usage details"

Or alternatively view network usage via the Task Manager access the Task Manager via keyboard shortcut (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC) or type “task manager” in the Start Menu search box.

In the Task Manager select the “App history” tab. There you’ll find two columns related to data consumption: “Network” and “Metered network”.

All the visible apps are either core Windows apps are Windows Store apps. Maddeningly, the Task Manager still does not display data usage for regular old traditional Windows applications. Hence, we don’t get clear data of how much data each application is using. That’s why the second Method is more preferable sometimes.

Windows 10 has been the latest OS from Microsoft as of the date in which this post was written, windows 10 is a very nice Operating System from Microsoft for better user interface.Windows 10 has some features which differentiate it from the previous Operating System. Some of this features are listed below.

Features Of Windows 10 Operating System

    •    The Start Menu is Back, Baby.
    •    Cortana Makes the Start Menu Even Smarter.
    •    Microsoft Edge Finally Replaces Internet Explorer.
    •    You Can Now Add Multiple Desktops.
    •    Windows Now Has a Central Notification Center.
    •    Universal Apps and Continuum Bridge Tablets and PCs in a Non-Stupid Way.
    •    Very strong windows defender to detect Malware

Despite all this features, there is one good features in which Microsoft did not implement in this wonderful Operating System, is the option to disable automatic download and installation of update with out user knowledge and this sometimes makes user system reboot after downloading this updates.I know you might has encounter this issue but today we are going to be looking at some of the possible solutions to this issue.

In this tutorial we are going to be taking a tour with two possible solutions to this problem of automatic update of windows 10.

1.Prevent Automatic Downloading of Updates on a Specific Connection

When you set a connection as “metered,” Windows 10 won’t automatically download updates on it. Windows 10 will automatically set certain types of connections cellular data connections, for example as metered. However, you can set any connection like as a metered connection.
So, if you don’t want Windows 10 automatically downloading updates on your home network connection, just set it as a metered connection. Windows 10 will automatically download updates when you connect your device to an unmetered network, or when you set the network it’s connected to as unmetered again. And yes, Windows will remember this setting for each individual network, so you can disconnect from that network and reconnect all you like.
Do you have an Internet connection with limited data? Just mark it as metered and Windows 10 won’t automatically download updates on it. If your connection offers unlimited downloads at a specific time for example, during the middle of the night you could mark the connection as unmetered occasionally at these times to download updates and mark it as metered after the updates are downloaded.

How to Set an Ethernet Connection as Metered in Windows 8 and 10?
To change this option, open the Settings app, head to Network & Internet > Wi-Fi, and click “Manage Known Networks”. Choose your Wi-Fi network and click “Properties”. From there, enable the “Set as metered connection” option. This option only affects the Wi-Fi network you’re currently editing, but Windows will remember this setting for each individual Wi-Fi network on which you change it. (If you haven’t gotten the Anniversary Update yet, this option will be in Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced Options.)

    2. Using The Services Desktop App

To do this, follow the steps carefully that I am going to list below and get it done.
Steps to Stop Windows 10 Automatic Download and Update Using Services Desktop App
    •    Search the app Services
    •    Run the App Services
    •    After running it search for Windows Update
    •    Right click and select properties
    •    Click on stop
    •    Then now click on OK

This is just the little trick,I found and decided to share it with our client and I believe this will help you a lot to fix the issue of automatic download and installation of updates on windows 10.Do not forget to share with friends by clicking on the share button below and also you can subscribe to get our latest updates delivered to your email for free of charge.

How to Clean Install Windows 10 from USB Flash Drive

In this tutorials we are going to looking at how to clean install windows 10 from USB Flash Drive. To proceed with the processes involved, there are basic requirement to successfully carryout this operations.

    Requirements

    •    Download rufus.exe here
    •    You also need USB Flash Drive
    •    You need Windows 10 ISO

This process can even be used if you want to dual-boot it with another operating system. For this, you will have to first create bootable USB media from ISO for Windows 10 by using rufus.exe . You can download the software here.

Having done this, you will have to set your computer to boot from a USB device. Please be very careful when you change the settings here, lest it make your computer un-bootable.

Note:To create a bootable using USB first backup your files incase you have anything stored in there, because during this process all files will be deleted, that is to say your Flash will be formatted.
To do this on my HP laptop, I have to restart it and keep pressing the F9 key to enter the Boot Options Setup.  Here you will have to change the boot order. If your device uses Secure Boot / UEFI, you will have to change it to Legacy. This is how the default setting looked on my laptop.

Use the 4 arrow keys of your keyboard, navigate to the Boot tab and change the settings. Disable Secure Boot, enable Legacy option and set Boot List option to Legacy. Next move USB Storage Device(Flash) to the first position and set it to be the first device to boot from. After making the changes, the setting on my HP laptop looked as follows. It may be a bit different in your laptop.

Once you have done this, with your USB connected to your laptop, restart the system.

Note for Windows 10 users: If you upgrade to Windows 10, the new OS will take the product key and activation details from your earlier OS. These are then saved on Microsoft servers, along with your PC details. If you install Windows the first time, you may face activation problems. If you performed an upgrade the first time, activated Windows 10, and then installed Windows 10 on the same PC, then there will be no activation issues, as the OS will pull activation details from Microsoft servers. So, if your Windows 10 isn’t activated, we suggest you not perform an install the first time. First Upgrade the first time, activate it and then Install.

Install Windows 10 from USB Flash Drive

On restart, your computer will boot from the USB Flash Drive, and display the following screen.

Choose the Language to install, the Time and Currency format and the Keyboard or Input method, and click on Next. You will see the following screen. Click on Install now.

The setup will start immediately as shown below.

You will be presented with the License terms. Accept it and click on Next to continue.

You will be ask, the type of installation you want. Do you want to upgrade your existing Windows installation and keep the files and settings, or do you want to Custom install Windows. Since we want to go in for a fresh install and keep our files then select Custom Install.

Next you will be asked the Partition where you want to install Windows 10. Select your partition carefully and click Next. If you did not create a partition earlier, this setup wizard also lets you create one now or you can use the existing partition on your system.

Windows 10 installation will start. It will copy setup files, install features, install updates if any, and finally clean up the residual installation files. Once this is done, your PC will restart immediately.

On restart of your system, you will see the following screen.

If you are dual-booting it, you will be greeted with the following screen. If Windows 10 is the only operating system on your computer, you may be taken to the log in screen directly.

Windows 10 will ask you a few basic questions about your preferences, before completing the installation and taking you to the Windows 10 desktop which look like the screenshot below .

Once the installation is completed, remember to reverse the changes in the Boot Option setup
